Camouflaged Merchants Of Death

Most times, it's just a lot easier not to let the world know what's wrong ”Chuck Palahniuk, Invisible Monsters”.  It quite interesting that so called modern world and its building blocks are based on the basic nature of human being, Lust for money and power. The great scientific invention and the emergence of technology have changed our world. The human development and its thirst for knowledge had to bring better world but unfortunately, that didn't happen. Technology has made our world more and more materialistic. And the basis of this modern history is “concealed in the war and lust for money and power”.

Computer and the brain power behind it were developed in World War II while breaking the code of enigma. Alan Turing is considered one of the first inventors of the modern computer. He developed the first computer while breaking the German secret code which was used to cover the ongoing communication from an enemy. The Internet has changed our way of thinking; alone Google and facebook had estimated 92 Billion dollars cumulative revenue in 2015. It is more than many countries annual budget.  The interesting fact here is that the internet has its basis in defense communication of US. World War II has greatly allowed developing modern technology. It will be not to mention here that Nuclear technology has been also developed during World War II and the used against humanity. It killed and affected millions of people in Japanese cities of Nagasaki and Hiroshima. 

War industry and its bureaucracy are concealed merchants of death. Most of the countries of the world spend their major portion of their GDP on War Industry. But what if there is no war and conflict at all, where all this industry will go. This is the major reason for most of the wars in the 20^th and 21^st century. The cold war between the Soviet Union and the USA and the Afghanistan war imposed by Russia. The war imposed by the USA over Iraq with no weapons of mass destruction found the war in Syria and Lebanon. They are all feeding the huge defense industry. Without this, all this industry will be sitting idle, generating no money and that would be a huge issue. And all the industry will close down. 

There is a famous quote from George Orwell,”War against a foreign country only happens when the moneyed classes think they are going to profit from it” In 2011 the 100 largest contractors sold like 410 billion dollar arms. The top ten from these have sold around 208 billion dollar arms. Between 2002 and 2011 arms sales grew by 51%. 

It is very clear from the USA has the most superiority in Defense and War. Most of the War in last decades was also imposed by the USA on different countries. It has the highest defense budget or I would say offense budget.  And its superiority and economy is based on two things war industry and technology. And technology, in turn, is also by product of war.  

Millions of people have died in last decades. 1 million died in Iraq war and 1.6 million died in the afghan war.  The arms industry is concealed merchant of death. For power money and lust they have killed millions of people.
